Remembering Diane Walton
As many of you know, we suffered a terrible loss when our mom, Diane Walton, passed away in January.
Mom and Dad (Terry Walton) took over leadership of our company from our grandparents in 1986. Much of what Clyde S. Walton, Inc. is today reflects the hard work they put in to growing this company, the values they instilled and the customer relationships they nurtured.
Mom always loved speaking to our customers, whether on the phone or at the front desk. She was the kind of person who liked treating employees to lunch. She also enjoyed giving Christmas and birthday presents to employees. She remained very active in the company until she and dad retired in 2012 and moved to Ocean City, NJ.
Mom will always be remembered for her ability to light up a room with her laughter. She was able to make friends wherever she went. At her funeral, so many people shared stories of her kindness with us.
We thank all of you who reached out with kind words. If you have a story about mom to share, we’d love to hear it. Please use the hashtag #SmileForDiane in a post on Facebook, so the grandkids she adored can grow up with a deeper understanding of who she was.
