Clyde S. Walton donates gasoline to the Appalachia Service Project (ASP)

Have you heard about the Appalachia Service Project (ASP)? Founded more than 40 years ago, ASP brings together thousands of volunteers from across the country to repair homes for low-income families in the Central Appalachia region.

When we first learned that these volunteers included our own neighbors from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale, we donated the gasoline needed to get the group to its destination. In recent years, we’ve made a cash donation of $750 to Trinity Lutheran to help finance its annual trip.

Despite all its hard work, ASP can only serve about 10% of the families who apply for help. Many more volunteers are needed to make a bigger difference for poor families there. We encourage you to visit www.ASPHome.org to learn more about this wonderful organization.

And please take a few moments to visit www.TrinityLansdale.com to find out more about all the good work being done through Trinity Lutheran Church.
