For the 8th consecutive year, Scott and Chris Walton and their sons will participate in the St. Baldrick’s head-shaving event to raise funds for childhood cancer research. This year’s event will again be held at the Lansdale Tavern on Sunday, March 12th from 12pm to 4pm. Last year’s event raised more than $14,500!
Noah Walton (Scott’s youngest son) first got us involved in this charitable event after he learned about a girl his age who was battling cancer and getting help from St. Baldrick’s. The rest, as they say, is history.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Participants raise funds by pledging to shave their heads to show solidarity with cancer patients, who often lose their hair during treatment.
All community members are welcome to join the St. Baldrick’s event at Lansdale Tavern. Read more details.
