| Tune-ups save you money and trouble |
Heating and air conditioning systems operate for hours on end, month after month, so they need regular maintenance—just like your car does. Regular maintenance keeps your system working at peak efficiency and also gives our technicians a chance to catch minor wear and tear before it turns into major trouble down the road.
A tune-up keeps your burner and central air system working efficiently, which can cut annual energy use by as much as 10%. It also ensures that your system operates safely, which helps prevent dangerous levels of carbon monoxide.
A cooling tune-up can reduce annual energy use by even more than 10%. That’s because we check your system’s coolant level when we do our a/c tune-up; if your coolant is even 10% low, it can boost air conditioning bills by 20%. Regular maintenance also extends the life of your equipment. |

| The best time to schedule your heating tune-up |
Some customers wait until fall and the first cold temperatures to ask us to tune up their heating system. Unfortunately, that’s an especially busy time for us because we’re responding to our first wave of no-heat calls.
That’s why we encourage you to schedule your tune-up between April and September. We’ll be able to get to you sooner, and it will be easier for you to get an appointment that’s convenient for you.
If you’re concerned that a spring or summer tune-up is too early, keep in mind that tune-ups do not wear off. So even though your tuned-up system isn’t used for a few months, it will still be in top condition for the heating season and ready to go when you turn it on in the fall.
We try to call or send reminder cards to all of our customers to schedule their annual tune-ups in the spring and summer. However, if you call or email us to request a tune-up, you can specify a time that is most convenient for you. |
