Heating oil tanks typically corrode from the inside out. Your tank may look perfectly fine from the outside, but its walls could be thinning. When your tank is protected by TankSure®, we test it with an ultrasound device (similar to the ultrasound technology used in medicine). This inspection allows us to give you a sense of security—and plenty of advance warning if there is a problem on the horizon.

Replacement Warranty

-- This warranty will pay the cost—either partially or in full, depending on the level of protection you choose—of a new tank if your old aboveground tank needs to be replaced.

This protection is even more valuable, because it encourages replacement of tanks before they leak, which helps prevent unexpected costs and protects the environment.

$1,000 coverage with Basic protection; full replacement with Gold protection.

Ultrasound Inspection

Trained service technicians use ultrasound equipment (similar to what is used in the medical profession) to test the thickness of your tank's walls. This testing also detects the level of corrosion in your tank.

Analysis and Monitoring

Your tank's thickness measurements, physical characteristics and details about the surrounding environment are analyzed with state-of-the-art tank profiling software, which tells whether your tank falls below a standard index level. If it does, proactive replacement of your tank is indicated.

Corrosion-Protection Agent

This special agent fights deterioration of your tank from corrosion, which can extend tank life. It works as if it were a magnet or sponge, absorbing corrosive forces, and is similar to the way zinc protection works in water heaters and in marine equipment.
