Over the past three years, we have donated 5,000 gallons of oil to Manna on Main Street, a local charitable organization that distributes the fuel to families in the Lansdale area who need it. In the past year alone, we’ve donated 2,000 gallons—enough to heat 24 homes for one month in the cold winter season.
In late 2007, we had the opportunity to assist Salvador Pineda, a local homeowner whose boiler had broken down. We received all the equipment from suppliers for free and donated the labor to install a new boiler for him.

Warm Home. Warm Heart.
Here at Manna, we meet a variety of individuals and families who just can’t make ends meet. Business own-ers are no exception in this economy, and the rising costs of heating oil and utility bills put a burden on many of our neighbors. Fortunately, Manna benefits from the generous donations of individuals, companies like Clyde S. Walton, and programs like the United Way’s Gift of Warmth. We look forward to a time when every story ends the way Grant’s did: with a warm home, and a warm heart.

Code Blue
When the cold weather arrives, Manna is on alert to help people stay warm. Even though we are not a housing provider, we do try to help people in emergency situations.
We are fortunate that Trinity Lutheran Church has a place for single men to stay during Code Blue (when the county health department determines the winter conditions pose a threat of serious harm—usually once the wind chill reaches 20° or below). There are no local shelters for women or children, so they are referred to sites in Norristown or Philadelphia. For some local individuals, Manna can provide a room in a nearby motel until the cold weather passes.
Manna also helps by paying utility bills. We work closely with Clyde S. Walton to provide oil deliver-ies, and also send payments to PECO and Lansdale Electric so that families can keep their lights and heat on through the winter months.
Community Involvement:
These are just a few examples. Other local organizations we have supported over the years include:
